Fraser Coast Illumination Parade

Don’t miss the amazing spectacle as a sea of illuminated creatures help celebrate the wonderful marine eco system of the Fraser Coast on 6th August. The theme of this year’s much loved Fraser Coast Illumination Parade is ‘Where Nature Comes Alive".

Hervey Bay’s skyline will light up with colourful, amazing and sometimes crazy creations as the Illumination Parade shimmers along the esplanade. Urangan High’s Sonic Blast showcase will provide a great line up of pre-entertainment at Scarness Park from 4pm to 6pm.

Glowing, shining, beaming and sparkling for a cause the Hervey Bay community come together annually for the Illumination Parade which is a programme of the larger Whale Festival celebrations. Uniting local business, cultural and sporting organisations, charities, schools, youth groups and families as they light up the sky with colourful, amazing and sometimes crazy creations. The extravaganza shimmers along the Esplanade representing the migration trail of the famed Humpback Whales that return to the Bay’s pristine shores to rest and play.

After the parade head down to Seafront oval to find out the winners, watch the early fireworks and catch the headline acts at the Whale Aid Concert
