Fraser Coast Outriggers Bay Business Challenge

Looking for a FUN DAY OUT with friends, family and staff?

Head down to the Fraser Coast Outriggers Bay Business Challenge to witness Businesses, Corporate Bodies and Clubs who organise teams of 5 to race against each other - Steerer and paddles provided.

Practices are available any Sunday at 9.00am until 26th May. Lucky draw - the Business that wins will receive advertising on the side of an outrigger canoe. There will be prizes, raffles breakfast, lunch, good coffee and Bar open from 10am. There will also be a Fancy dress prize - so get creative!

Heritage City Quilt & Crafting Extravaganza

What will you See? Quilt display from local groups, demonstrations by local teachers and special guests from Pfaff / Husqvarna Viking/ Singer. Quilt shop stalls from local and other areas with quality craft items for sale. Special guest speaker Tracey Sims will present a trunk show of her amazing designs and quilts as well as a special workshop/ lecture on "colour and design". 

Refreshments are available for purchase provided by Rotary Club of Maryborough Sunrise and community volunteers. Special lucky door prize- Pfaff Ambition Essential Sewing Machine valued at $999 plus other raffles through out the event. 

Burrum Heads Easter Fishing Classic

The Burrum Heads Easter Fishing Classic is 22 years young and is a genuine community event for the whole family. To fish or not to fish there are many prizes and giveaways for all who attend. Join many of our guests who make the journey to our idilic corner of the world.

New Years Eve Fancy Dress Party

Hervey Bay Council for the Arts presents New Years Eve Fancy Dress Party. Come dressed as your favourite character and join in the fun.

Non-stop entertainment including "Jon Vea Vea" and "The Radio Star". Activities for the kids, sausage sizzle, raffles and rides. Market stalls and prizes to win.

Christmas Concert

Fraser Coast Massed Brass Band concert will combine past, present, and prospective members of the Fraser Coast's, historically rich brass band movement into a massed band for this special Christmas concert. 

Featuring Maryboroug Brass, Maryborough Exelcsior and the district's bands of the Salvation Army.

Hervey Bay 100

Hervey Bay Hundred will be held Sunday 25th November, 2012 at Scarness Beach, Hervey Bay.

This unique race will have the rare attraction of 100kms of absolute oceanfront racing. Where else in Australia (or the world for that matter) can you see the Pacific ocean for an entire Long Course race?

Presented by the Hervey Bay Triathlon Club, the Hervey Bay Hundred is a long distance triathlon event in which participants complete a 2km swim, 80km bike ride and 18km run.

Munna Creek Country Music Festival

The annual Country Music Festival is held each year in the pristine country location at Munna Creek Hall & Recreation grounds. The grounds are well maintained with fantastic facilities. It is situated 20 minutes drive west of Bauple. 

Artists are invited from all over the country to come and perform, walk up and local artist are also welcome. Enjoy the poet’s breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning and three big shows of invited artists. There will be bush camping for vans, tents, motor homes etc. Food will be available with a great menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
